Thermaltake has unveiled the innovative IX700 system unit featuring complete component immersion in dielectric fluid. This new cooling technology can dissipate up to 1800W of heat, making it ideal for powerful gaming and workstation systems.

At Computex 2025, Thermaltake demonstrated a significantly improved version of their revolutionary PC case IX700 with immersion cooling system. Unlike the prototype shown at CES 2025, the new version features a finished design and readiness for commercial production.
Operating Principle and Technical Specifications
The uniqueness of IX700 lies in the complete immersion of all system components ā processor, graphics card, and power supply ā in special dielectric fluid. This approach ensures maximum heat transfer directly from chip surfaces.
The system consists of a main case-reservoir with 10mm tempered glass and an external heat exchanger unit of impressive dimensions. An information LCD screen displays real-time temperature and load data for key components.
Impressive Cooling Performance
The external heat exchanger supports installation of up to four 420mm radiators and twelve 140mm fans. For comparison: a standard liquid cooling system with one 420mm radiator can dissipate a maximum of 450W. Full configuration of IX700 can theoretically handle heat dissipation of 1400-1800W, exceeding the needs of even the most powerful workstations with multiple flagship GPUs.
Cost and Commercial Prospects
Thermaltake plans to sell IX700 for approximately $2000, but the total system cost may significantly exceed this amount. The main expense is the special dielectric fluid costing $2000-3000 per liter. Considering that the system requires several liters for operation, the cooling fluid alone may cost more than all other PC components combined.
An alternative approach is offered by Enermax, which plans to sell ready-made systems based on AMD Threadripper and four GeForce RTX 5090 with immersion cooling for $50,000 per unit.
