Gigabyte's gaming division under the Aorus brand has announced a new high-performance system, the AI TOP 500 TRX50, designed for a wide range of tasks from gaming to artificial intelligence development. This workstation targets professionals who require maximum computational power.

Processor and Architecture

The system is built around the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX, a professional processor featuring 24 cores and 48 threads, capable of operating at frequencies up to 5.3 GHz. The chip supports eight-channel memory and numerous PCIe lanes, providing exceptional flexibility for system expansion. There are reports of a possible version with an even more powerful 32-core Threadripper PRO 7975WX.

Graphics Subsystem and Memory

The graphics accelerator chosen is the flagship Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 with 32 GB of video memory, delivering up to 3,352 TOPS performance in AI tasks. Instead of using multiple graphics cards, Gigabyte opted for data processing in system memory, installing a record-breaking 768 GB of DDR5 R-DIMM memory in an 8 x 96 GB configuration.

Storage System

The configuration includes two SSD drives: the versatile Aorus Gen4 7300 with 2 TB capacity and the specialized AI TOP 100E with 320 GB. The latter is designed for intensive workloads and has a rewrite endurance 150 times higher than conventional SSDs.

Cooling and Power

The system is based on the TRX50 AI TOP motherboard and uses Aorus liquid cooling with a 360 mm radiator. Power is supplied by a 1,600W unit with 80 Plus Platinum certification and ATX 3.1 standard support.

Interfaces and Connectivity

The workstation is equipped with modern interfaces: PCIe 5.0, Thunderbolt 5, two 10 GbE Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3. The E-ATX form factor case measures 594 x 336 x 584 mm.

The system's price has not yet been announced, but based on the premium configuration, the device will be available to a narrow circle of users who truly need such computational resources.
