Renowned overclocking expert and popular tech YouTuber Roman 'der8auer' Hartung has revealed the gaming performance results of the Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell professional graphics card. This $10,000 workstation card was tested in popular games including Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Outlaws, Remnant 2, and Assassin's Creed Mirage, compared against RTX 5090 and RTX 4090 cards in the same system.

Performance Results

During testing, the RTX Pro 6000 showed impressive results compared to the RTX 5090 and RTX 4090. In Cyberpunk 2077 at maximum settings in 4K resolution (without ray tracing), the professional card was 14% faster than the RTX 5090 in average FPS and showed 13% better 1% lows.

In other games, the RTX Pro 6000's advantage was:

  • Star Wars Outlaws — 11% faster
  • Remnant 2 — 11% faster
  • Assassin's Creed Mirage — 3% faster

Technical Specifications

The RTX Pro 6000 is based on the same GB202 GPU as the RTX 5090 but has significant advantages. The card features 24,064 shaders (compared to 21,760 on the RTX 5090) along with more TMUs, ROPs, Tensor cores, and RT cores. The standout feature is its memory configuration — 96GB of GDDR7 on a 512-bit bus compared to just 32GB on the consumer RTX 5090.

Drawbacks

Despite its compact Founders Edition-style design, the card has serious noise issues. With power consumption reaching up to 600W, the fans run very loudly, and der8auer noted this as having "the worst coil whine I've ever heard, it's insanely loud."

Pricing Considerations

The additional 64GB of VRAM costs the manufacturer approximately $200 more, but the final price of the RTX Pro 6000 is $10,000 compared to $2,000 for the RTX 5090. This card is clearly intended for professional use where performance matters more than cost.
