London startup Odyssey has introduced an innovative neural network capable of generating realistic interactive videos at 25 frames per second. The technology allows users to "walk" through AI-created worlds in real-time.

London-based technology startup Odyssey has created a true revolution in the field of artificial intelligence by launching a demonstration version of their unique AI model. The system can create realistic interactive video clips at an impressive rate of 25 frames per second, opening new horizons for digital content.
"World Model" Technology
At the core of the development lies the company's proprietary "world model" — a specially trained neural network that deeply understands the physical laws and logic of the real world. To create training datasets, Odyssey engineers developed a specialized camera with full 360-degree coverage, equipped with LiDAR sensors. This camera is worn by an operator who collects data about the real world.
The model's operating principle is similar to language models: the system sequentially generates each video frame, predicting the next moment, similar to how ChatGPT predicts the next word in text. Users can control movement in virtual space using a keyboard, with the AI responding instantly to commands.
Capabilities and Limitations
The current demo version allows virtual walks lasting 2.5 minutes, after which the session can be restarted. Although the visual experience currently resembles surrealistic dreams (especially combined with musical accompaniment), the team is actively working on improving the technology.
Development Prospects
Odyssey developers are confident that interactive AI videos will fundamentally change the entertainment industry, freeing it from the constraints of traditional production. In their opinion, in the future, all areas related to video content — from entertainment and advertising to education and virtual travel — will transform into an interactive format.
Investment and Team
The startup has already attracted significant investments of $27 million. The company's board of directors includes Ed Catmull — the legendary former president of Pixar and Disney Animation, which emphasizes the serious intentions and potential of the project.
A free demo version is available on the company's official website to familiarize yourself with the technology. More detailed information can be found at https://odyssey3d.com.
